Collin D. Longo
Collin Longo is a dedicated individual with a diverse background that encompasses military service, academic excellence, and community leadership. Born in Guam, his father was stationed at the Grand Forks Air Force Base, and Collin grew up in the Red River Valley Area. His formative years were influenced by the values of service and commitment instilled in him by his family and surroundings. Collin attended Plano East Senior High School in Texas. During his junior year, driven by a sense of duty and adventure, he decided to join the United States Army, enlisting in the Infantry. Stationed at the 10th Mountain Division, he served his country with distinction, including deployments overseas, where he demonstrated courage and resilience in the face of adversity.
Following his honorable discharge from the military, Collin embarked on a new journey of academic pursuit. He enrolled at Purdue University, where he pursued his passion for legal support and services, graduating with an A.A.S. degree, Magna Cum Laude. Collin is continuing his academic journey at Purdue University, pursuing a B.A.S. in Legal Services. His dedication to academic excellence is reflected in his outstanding 4.0 GPA, a testament to his commitment to excellence in all endeavors.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Collin is actively involved in various organizations that recognize and cultivate leadership potential. He is a proud lifetime member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the National Society of Leadership and Success, where he continues to inspire and empower others through his actions and example.
In his community of Thief River Falls, Collin is known for his unwavering dedication to service and leadership. As the President of the TRFSA (Thief River Falls Soccer Association), he plays a pivotal role in fostering community and sportsmanship among its members. Additionally, as the head coach of the U10 Soccer League, he imparts valuable lessons of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance to young athletes, shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
